VIRTUAL ABSTRACT AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS, May 2022

The Age Anaesthesia Association would like to thank and congratulate all authors who have submitted an abstract for this year’s event. We really appreciate your efforts in making this event an insightful conference for all.
The reviewing process has now started and we will be in touch with all authors following the submission notification date on Monday 25th April 2022. SUBMISSION GUIDANCE
Please comply with the instructions below; failure to do so will result in automatic rejection of the abstract.
The closing date for abstract submission is midday on Monday 18th April 2022. Any abstract received after this time will not be accepted. Each abstract should be emailed to lucyparkinson@eventmanagementdirect.co.uk. A confirmation email will be sent on receipt (during office hours only).
By submitting a subsequently selected abstract, the first author agrees to register and present at the Age Anaesthesia Association (AAA) Virtual Annual Scientific Meeting on Friday 13th May 2022.
The work described in the abstract must conform to acceptable ethical standards. Please include a statement to that effect.
Please follow these instructions when typing your abstract:

As the abstracts will be judged anonymously, do not include the name of your institution/organisation.

The abstract should be no more than 280 words, including the title, and should fit comfortably on a single page of A4. All text must be typed in single line spacing using font Arial 10.

The abstract must include data and may consist of the following four headings:

Introduction

Methods
-
Results
-
Conclusions

The excessive use of abbreviations is discouraged (all abbreviations should have been expanded at first use).

Do not include references, graphs, figures or tables for abstracts.

The work must not have been published elsewhere at the time of submission.

All abstracts will be considered for both poster and verbal presentation.
Corresponding authors of the abstracts accepted for poster or verbal presentation at the Virtual ASM will be informed via e-mail by w/c Monday 25th April 2022.
Authors who have been accepted for a verbal presentation will be invited to pre-record their talk between Monday 2nd – Friday 6th May. The shortlisted verbal presentations will then be broadcast during the Trainee Presentation Session taking place on Friday 13th May. All successful authors must be available that day to participate in a live Q&A.
Prizes will be awarded by the judging panel at the end of the event and will include monetary prizes as well as complimentary meeting registration for the AAA ASM 2023 to be held in Bristol.
